We are so fortunate to be a critical part of training new teachers. Many classrooms currently host students from Trine University who are in their final year of school. These students will interact and build relationships with students, observe teachers, and teach lessons. It is such an honor to host them! In these photos, Mrs. Hodge's class is practicing building arrays with blocks as a part of their Trine student's lesson.

Conferences
A sense of belonging is a fundamental human need. People search for a sense of connection with the people and places in their lives. Students spend a significant portion of their time at school, which makes it essential that the learning environment cultivates a sense of belonging for students. Peer to Peer is rooted in evidence-based practices, initiated by school staff, and embedded within the school community to promote belonging for all students. In Peer to Peer, students with and without disabilities engage in shared activities where ALL students learn together. This participation model shifts from a helping approach–where one student is the helper and the other is the recipient of help-to a model where all students actively engage together in natural friendships. The outcome of this program will be a more positive, accepting school culture for all. We want everyone who enters Jefferson to feel a sense of belonging, and we will continue to strive for that. Mrs. Fondren's class is excited to be a part of this program!

Miss Molly, Jefferson's soon-to-be-certified therapy dog, has been working on specialized training! We are so excited about the opportunity to have a therapy dog with us on our campus. She is working on continuing her training where she will be working, and we have loved getting to know her! She only visits the building for small amounts of time each week, but we cannot wait until she becomes a full-time staff member!
