Superintendent Flynn has notified us that all phone lines across the district are currently out of service and are not expected to be restored until sometime tomorrow afternoon. At this time, it appears that internet service may also be affected. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this issue.

It's Hungry Howie's Pizza Night!! If you're tired of cooking, please consider ordering pizza tonight and supporting your child's school! A percentage of all sales made tonight is donated to our school. When you place an order tonight, mention your child's teacher's name. The class with the most orders tonight will win a pizza party!

April 16, 2025 Jefferson Elementary School was closed today due to an electrical situation overnight. A custodian smelled what could best be described as wire burning. The custodian called 911 and Coldwater Fire Department responded. There was no fire, but the smell was confirmed. This district’s maintenance department was sent to the building as there was no power at the time. Jepson Electric sent an electrician who tested lines entering the building from the transformer. Three lines were found to be inoperable. In order to restore power to the building, the three lines needed to be replaced, and the estimated time for the work would not allow for us to open the building today. As of 10:30 this morning, power has been restored and our maintenance department and technology director were testing throughout the building to ensure no damage. A very special thanks to the custodian who contacted 911, Coldwater Fire Department, our maintenance crew and Jepson Electric for the quick response to get our building back up and running! We have been so lucky to have Kayla Monville and Brad & Dominique Prater visit our classrooms to read and share about autism awareness. Their time and insight helped our students better understand and appreciate each other's differences.
