Coldwater High School senior Evan Poradzisz has been recognized as a National Merit Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, placing him among the top 1% of high school seniors in Michigan.

The National Merit Scholarship Program honors students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and potential for success in college. Finalists are selected based on their SAT scores, overall academic performance in rigorous coursework, and contributions to their school and community.

“We are incredibly proud of Evan’s achievement,” said Dr. Steven Hope, principal of Coldwater High School. “His dedication to academic excellence and his commitment to our school community exemplify the values we strive to instill in all our students.”

National Merit Scholarship winners for 2025 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July. These recipients will join more than 382,000 other students who have earned the Merit Scholar title since the program began.

Coldwater High School congratulates Poradzisz on this outstanding accomplishment and wishes him success in the final stages of the National Merit Scholarship competition.
